hps and stressed plants

i use biobizz soil and a 250w hps into a closet with slightly opened door and its 12 inches above my plants(most of them are about 1-1.5 week old). the temperature is about 78-82 F and i have a big fun blowing my plants. i had humidity issues (20% RH) and i am spraying my grow room with water almost every 1 hour and i use watered towels and i am increasing my RH to 40%.my plants are stressed and some of them with brown spots and i dont know why. i dont think that its from over watering because i water them when soil gets dried.What do you think?

Without a doubt, your containers are too small, you should also fill them to the top with soil because they are too small. Also you are overwatering. Simple as that. Add more perlite to your soil mix, that will help with overwatering in soil.

Stop misting them, the light is cooking the water droplets on the leaves. Low RH is ok...just think when you get them in bigger pots and watering more the RH will be about right then

You also have way too many plant for 250w hps. A good idea would be transplant your two best plants into 3-5 gallon pots veg for another 2-3 weeks, maybe throw a screen in and flip it to 12/12.

Like stated above, misting seedlings should be stopped after the first set of true leaves (the ones after the cotlydons). The constant misting combined with small, I cant even call the pots, cups you are using is making it easy to overwater.

And lower plant count.

Btw, I dealt with low RH like yours and the plants drink more water but you have to be light on nutes WHEN you begin. I'm in DWC but I'd imagine the plants still take in more moisture and nutes which needs to be compensated with the low RH. Search growing with low RH and you'll find what I did.

Not saying everyone else is incorrect but when this happened to me it turned out to be an airflow/circulation thing. Do you have anything to get air into the closet? Besides proping open the door a bit?

Need some holes in the bottom of your cups for drain and oxygen.

If you've overlooked what rocko said^ then that is your most immediate problem. Also, a super small humidifier would cover that space nicely. look for a "cool mist" model.

After i added my humidifier, it felt so good in the tent i wanted to move my bed there.

I have extra low rh, even a bit lower than yours (causes myself skin issues often)After I stopped misting my room, my plants looked better. If I were to mist now, I might do it just before the light is scheduled to come on.

Also, (and I don't know if this is correct, but it's how I've been doing my little garden) those little sprouts need more humidity than your older plants. I doubt the bigger ones appriciate it as much.
