Hi all

Until now all i have grown is autos, i have been doing some searching and found that you can but your plant will stretch a lot, but if i lst will i still have the same reaults as if i used blue cfls for veg? I have been so happy with my autos until now but after reading and finding out photoperiods would take about 3 weeks longer and yeild atleast twice as much i am crawling up the walls thinking how could i be so stupid.

No. MH "should" produce plants with tighter node spacing then the hps. So even if yu lst, yur node spacing will still be greater with the hps.
That said, i don veg with hpss', but yu certainly can do it, and successfully. Especially if yu can keep temps down and get lights real close. That always gives me nice and tight nodes.
Oh yeah, strain dependent. Obviously, indicas will be less stretchy then sativas.

I have vegged with HPS. I always panic when I see them stretch at all then I fire up my CFL box for two weeks. One day I'll just let them do their thing under hps. Yea, adding in some blue cfl while under hps could work well. I did that once.
