HPS lamp question

Hey guys, I got ahold of two 70watt hps lights, they are the kind used for street lighting. It says 70HPS on the ballast, I'm just not sure if the lamp is also hps and if it is the right light spectrum.
Attached are two pics, the 70watt obviously the smaller lamp. It has nearly the same writing as the 400watt but not exactly. If anyone knows this type of lamp and if it is the right spectrum please let me know. I want to use these two as little veg lights for two of my mother plants, but don't want to go through the effort of setting everything up if it's not worth it. I have 2000watts running already so don't need any other lights running unnecessarily.
Please have a look at this and let me know.

Yeah its HPS. I would if possible look at Metal halide bulbs for vegging though. Although HPS works the internodes will be further apart which will affect the structure of your colas and plants.

Thank you. Yes, been having that problem during last run. It seems fine, the larger node spacing, during vegging. But come flowering time the structure of the colas do seem affected. It's like they don't fill properly. I'll see if I can come up with something.

i'm not sure if that will run in a regular lamp or if you'll need to get some kind of ballast for it, never seen one that small before

if its to veg mothers (mothers being the key word here) i will be fine...A little stretch in veg makes for nice tall clones...the light intensity in flower is what will keep it from stretching out of control when using the clones off of your mothers.
