I reported in another thread that my 400w digital greenhouse ballast was running very hot. I contacted HTG to see if this was normal. They said it was defective and then sent me another ballast. That ballast ended up being some super generic ballast.
I dunno much about various ballasts but, would I be better off sending back the generic one even if it runs cooler (I'll find out when the lights come on later). Should I be upset that they are pulling a switch on me? Should I send back the generic and ask for a REAL exchange?
