HTG tri-band LED Grow Light / Grow Tent - Question(s)

Whats up.. So I am going to be setting up a new indoor grow. I am going to be growing with soil, probably sum purple kush or sumthin similar, I want to yield at least 4 ounces but Id prefer 6-8. I am definitly going to be growing out of a grow tent and I am limited on space so I was hoping to get by with a 36”x20”x62 but I can go as big as 48”x24”x60 if absolutely necessary. (I know its small )

I have been looking into the HTG 120watt setup as I am assuming with this small area heat is definitly going to be an issue if I went with HPS or MH and could not tolerate a noisy large fan. My question to you is, is it possible to yield the amount I am hoping for in this small area with this HTG tri-band LED?

I am aware LED technology is new and not the best as far as penetration, and HTG leaves out all the info on the diodes and optics but do you think it work for what I need it to? I have grown in the past so lets assume I do everything correctly with this crop. Thanks in advance!

i think im gonna wind up wimping out and getting a 1000 watt mh/hps just to be on the safe side

the technology seems to be way too new, eventhough it will work the question is wil the 300 watt led really outperform a 1000 watt mh/hps

or in your case will the 120 watt outperform a 400 or 600 watt mh or hps

based on the research ive done between here and other sites, it just doesnt seem like its gonna happen

i dnt think ur gonna get 4-6 ozs with that 120 watt, but i do think it will gorw and youll get a couple

yeah man the technology is just not here yet for LED's I mean it you can yield some pretty decent buds airy and fluffy but decent but its just not on par with hps or mh yet its good for supplemental lighting works great but unless you have some serious cash to throw down I think you would be better of buying a hps setup you can get a great deal !

Yeah thats what I was afraid of. I would go with HPS as I've grown with it before but not in a tent, I know for a fact tempatures of a 600 watt is going to be way to high in a tent of this size.. Do you think If i connected a cooltube however with all the ducting and a smaller fan just to let the air flow out of there it would be much better? Any how I have all week to make a decision as im going to buy everything next friday.

yeah it should work idealy it is small space i would go with a lower wattage hps maybe 150 200w maybe even a 400 if cooled with a cooltube should be no problem just throw a couple small fans in there and you should be good to go....

150 and 250 is way too small in my opinion if I go hps I wouldent settle for anything less than a 600 watt cooltube as of now its either that or the led for trials... havent decided yet tho.

I dont know if you can oull that off with that tiny space and a 600w cooltube you just might be able to though with right ventilation it might work now that i think about it .... with a cooltube of course and some fans
