Humidity DOWN SOUTH!

Ok guys and gals I live down south and anyone who's been down in the Deep South U.S. Knows how humid it can be down here. Anyways my Selina is how do I deal with humidity and temps I will tell you about my grow space and what iam up against
Any advise FROM southerners will be greatly appreciated in my thread.

Grow conditions
My garage it's the only place I can use, iam in a 4'x4' gorilla lite tent.
My tent is up against the outside wall of my garage. The wall has 2 vent squares along side the bottom of the wall allowing fresh air from the out side in.
Right now I have inside my tent a hygrometer that measures humidity and temps outside the tent as well as inside the tent.
I have a home lab 30 pint roughly (4 gal) digital dehumidifier, I medium sized fan, a 6"vortex s line inline fan running full speed connected to a phat carbon scrubber.
No lights as of yet but plan on getting a 600w vero cob light fixture from timber grow lights.
I have been running my oscillating fan on medium and my online fan is running full power and iam having trouble keeping my temps and humidity at optimum levels all day experimenting with my grow environment today.
Temps averaging high 70's to low 80's RH @ 55 to 60 can someone with experience please help me of what I could possibly do to get my grow environment in check?

If you throw a light in there it might get you down right in range. Id get a light in there and check it out before i made any other huge plans

Only thing that’s gonna get the temp down is to cool your garage. Ain’t no way around it. Plus the lights will put off more heat

I'm most likely as south as you. My tent uses a window unit for extra cooling. Summertime sucked on electric with the a.c. maxed and 6" inline maxed and temps were in the 80's with a 1kwatt hps. I just built an led replacement and have not had to turn on the ac yet in that room and im staying at 73 with my inline fan on the lowest setting.
Having your intake from outside of your house down here with an inline on max will never work. Would be better off cooling your whole garage.
Best bet is a portable a.c. in the tent, intake coming from inside the house if possible or garage if not, led light to not put off as much heat, and an inline fan controller to turn down and keep cool air in. A.c. will also help drop humidity.

Push the dry runs from your head. It all changes when you have plants in there. The climate is totally different. Just having the lights on changes your RH. Tackle the problems as they arise. Temp is an easy fix along the way from my experience. Id rather have temp problems over all others. Not sure your budget or how much your house ac runs. But you could split off of it in the attic and run ducting to your tent. Most people run the AC to keep cool at night. So if you line your light schedule right you wont have to buy a portable. Just a thought. Cheers on your upcoming grow.

Thanx man iam thinking my only option is to cool the garage with the portable ac then use one of the bottom vents on my tent as my intake and exhaust it outside. Iam in a rent house so I can't cut any holes. Too my land lord and I don't have a contract, and they never bother me I have been here for 4 yrs and allways pay my rent when due. I appreciate your feed back man I'll see what happens worst case scenario is if I make a run at it and fail due to temps and humidity I'll just have to wait till next year when I buy my
Own home. I'll already have my grow equipment so iam in no hurry iam a very patient person. Cheers

Thank you my bother that's actually a really good idea I thought I could make dry runs to get an idea of what iam up against I see what you mean. I really appreciate all the feedback and suggestions. Happy growing.

May I suggest you rig up something to vent AC straight to your tent from your portable? You will spend a ton on power to keep your whole garage cool for about 80 cubic feet worth of tent. It will lower the cost on your unit, and the power draw in the summer. Just looking out for your power bill. When I cooled my bedroom and vented inside like you propose my power bill tripled. Its very workable, but highly innefficient.

Ok so let's say I rigged some ducting from outtake on the portable ac unit to the intake vent at the bottom of my tent and I set the thermostat on the digital ac unit to 75 degrees ( mind you my ac units outside my tent in the garage due to space in my tent. How am I going to regulate the ac thermostat inside the tent?

In other wards my ac unit will be running non stop because the temps in the garage will be higher than temps inside my tent.

These are the dilemas. Your ac will run nonstop in your garage regardless. You will have your tent pulling about 220cfms out of your garage a minute. On top of your garage getting warmer all the time. You either sacrifice a plant spot and put your portable in the tent, you dismantle the housing on the ac and find the thermostat, and get it in the tent,or you pay the bill.
