humidity measurement

hi guys, today i put my weed into sealed bags so that i could measure the humidity with my hydrometer. The humidity after 2 hours doesnt remain stable and i dont know how long do i have to put the hydrometer into the bag and if all the process is right( Is putting the weed into sealed bags the right way in order to measure the humidity?). Plastic is not good IMO. The triches stick to plastic. Most growers use glass mason jars because they're air tight. After putting the buds and the hygrometer in the jar you can get a rough reading in a few hours. In 24 hours you will get the exact reading.
