Humidity?

i was wondering if anyone had tips or suggestions on raising humidity? i have a small grow box with 6 plants the temp stays around 78-80 degrees but my humidity only stays around 44-50%. I can increase it by turning my fans off from time to time and the humidity reaches between 55-58% but the heat increase to high 80s. My plants don't like that! Cant fit a humidifier so I'm looking for a cheap easy way to do this.

Easy man you can do a few different things...for one you can use wet towels, just soak them and then hang them in ur grow box. Also you can roll up some newspaper (longways like a bat) and stick it in a jar of water. Put the jar of water in front of your intake fan and try to have the top half of the newspaper roll directly in front of the air being blown in. The air will hit the newspaper and put more moisture in the air. The jar acts like a wick for the newspaper constantly keeping it moist.

40-50% humidity is perfect, you don't want to get it to high.

you only want your humidity up as high as possible (80-90%) when your trying to root cuttings other than that 40-50% is perfect..

but if you really feel you need to raise it, you can put a simple cup of water in there and make sure the fan blows on it once and while..

thanks for your feed back. i have tried putting a cup of water in my box, but it actually made my humidity go down. haven't tried the newspaper trick yet , but may give it shot. my next step was going to use a wet cloth!

from my research marijuana plants grow best in 60-75% humidity during veg, and you lower it to 50-60% during flowering.

No way dude that is too high, will cause lots of problems like mold, mildew, fungus and so on.

but you could go as high as 50-60 percent during veg, most likely won't hurt but optimum level is 40-50%
