Hydro and perlite

Hi everyone getting ready to start up a hydro set up and had a few ?'s that I can't seem to find the answer to in the search function. Can I find the nutr I will need from a local lowes or homedepo or any brands u have use before ? also I found a miracle grow perlite grow medium would that work?

Ugh, I'm a soil guy, not hydro. Are you wanting to know of a growing medium to use? How bout some coco. Look around the threads, you will figure it.

cum on man you can give him sumthin better

hey dude im in the same boat i just rite down every medium isee metioned in every form no matter wut and go looking for the stufff at h depot u no..
so u cant use perlite they already told me that so chec out sum of my forms and convos to see if you have the same ques. as me alrite get back at me an let me no wut you find ....

The 2 most common hydroponic grow mediums are Rockwool, and expanded clay pellets.

I use expanded clay pellets only. Other people use a combination of the pellets and the rockwool. If you have any hydroponic questions just PM me I can probably answer them.

I'm baffled at the home depot hydro grow.

Where are you getting your nutes/ferts from? Just get your medium there.

You should (will need?) to find your local hydro shop. Google hydroponics and your zipcode.

I would suggest a soil grow or two before hydro.

Thank you for your help i'm also trying the soil method before moving on to better thing currently i'm 1 week in and I have about 3 inches just waiting for them to grow out a little loving this hobby of growing and snap wait until harvest time :)
