hydro and soil

As you may or may not know I love to experiment with things. I am growing a haze plant she's two weeks old in a dwc bucket that I bought for 60 dollars. I am LSTing her she's also receiving 24 hour light under hps 400wt. Now what I am doing is I have the top of the bucket ,which is suppose to be filled with hydrotons, filled with dirt and now the roots have started to come out the bottom. What I was thinking to do is put water up to the level of the roots and throw a bubbler in there and it'll be sort of a soil and hydro at the same time. Right now I haven't added the water so the roots are just dangling. What might happend? Will this stress the plant? Has anyone ever tried this or heard of anything like this? So fas growing super fast. Thank youu. Pics up soonb
