hydro must haves

k, since i've had problems with my first nugget grow, i wanted to make a list of what everyone considers must haves for fixing possible problems you might encounter in hydro. i searched but no complete guide was available so i thought i might as well make one.

i personally got root rot on several plants and temp had nothing to do with it.

anyway because of this, i would say some must haves are hydrogen peroxide, hygrozyme, and sm-90 for getting rid of the rot.

any other products for fixing problems with plants in hydro you know of with how you use them and what you use them for would be appreciated.

1. Ph Up and Ph Down..to balance out the water in my reservoir
2. Bleach for cleaning all equipment
3. Extra tubing - for my bubbles, oxygen, or needed air.
4. Extra Light Bulbs (depending on what you prefer) in the event I have a light burn out

on the bleach, can you run it through your water pumps? i had asked about a cleaning product for tubes before with no response.

oh, can't wait to play ya'll this year. i'm an Oklahoma fan.

I also like an extra air pump, spare air stone and florakleen to help eliminate nute lock-up. I use it when I do a res change

I'm am leary of bleach unless you are willing to flush like a mad man after use. I use floraklean or vinager for my equipment clean up. Less chance of a residual problem.

I want to see Bradford VS McCoy! When's the date?

vinegar? hadn't heard that one as far as a cleaning agent.

not sure on the date of the game.

here's one i figured out that may have been mentioned before but not in this topic. for air stones, mine have accumulated some gunk so i bought some toothbrushes for scrubbing them down. the brushes also can get inside the water pump housing and irrigation manifold in hard to reach spots.

Apart from all the obvious things like lights, fans & pumps etc. these are some of the things I must have for each grow:

I use a enzyme additive so that old roots rot away safely (during flowering) which frees up room for new root growth - something I had probs with in every grow.. a MUST now in my book.. also stops root rot from developing

MUST have a GOOD PH meter

Clean equipment & grow space

New or very very clean tubing & airstones

Bleach
(I clean all my buckets after each nute change with about 10ml of Bleach)

Dehumidifier
(I get humidity going over 50% when flowering in my grow-tent with the Dehumidifier it keeps it at around 30%)

Ph Up & Down

Whisk
(for mixing all my nutes & PH up & down together nicely)

Syringe
(For adding the nutes accurately & quickly)

ed, what enzyme additive would that be. i use hygrozyme to try to keep my roots safe. is there another you would recommend?
and yeah i did mean other than things you need for any grow like lights and nutes and stuff.

thanks for the responses and keep them coming as this is helping me think about the project from different angles. i'm trying to be as preventative towards future problems as possible.

I use 'Enzyme Plus' by Ferro simply because all my nutes for veg & flower are made by the same company.. I can't recommend any others as I have only used this one. Apparently the one I use is better than 'Atami Atazyme' & 'Canna Cannazym' (according to Ferro) but they would say that!

Floraklean or vinegar is a great idea. Bradford and McCoy?? If you line up quarterback to quarterback by stats, then McCoy wins that hands down. If you go by Heisman..well then that goofy looking QB at Oklahoma wins..Trust me, we will spank you guys again this year...It's always ealry to mid October for this game. Happens during the State fair. Whatever weekend it is, based on players leaving and staying and recruiting, I honestly have to say I do think Texas has their best shot to win the National Chamionship this year. Not next..that is for sure..

I got to see both teams play before I get a feel of how I think it might go. I've usually rooted for Texas but there was a period there when Stull first arrived that I liked what I saw from OK. He had system qb's and made it work.

sorry but after 2 years of playing bradford has 1 more touchdown more than mccoy after 3 years of playing. not to mention last year's stats bradford demolished mccoywith 16 more touchdowns and had over 800 more total yards.
how quickly they forget. remember that new high record for points in a single season?

i'll take the goofy looking kid.
not that mccoy isn't pretty goofy looking himself.

oh and you may have won but it was no spanking and at least we didn't lose to tech! not to mention our guy still has another possible year whereas for you, this better be your best shot cause it's mccoy's last shot.

here's links to both players stats.
