HYDROFARM 14000 btu Active Air Portable AC is a waste of money.

Basically title says it all.

Picked up one of these Portable air conditioners for my 1200 watt t5 veg room.

It lasted about a month. A couple of days ago the compressor stopped turning on, so all it does now is blow its fan. No cold air. I almost lost all of my genetics and mothers. hydro farm and active air provide garbage to honest hardworking people who sacrifice the little money they have for equipment they need.

Now one of the most annoying things about these 2 companies is they have literally NO CUSTOMER SERICE what so ever. So I feel pretty stuck. I definitely won't support them with my money ever again and I suggest you find another company you can actually contact incase you have a problem. Better yet, buy from a company that makes quality equipment to begin with.

If anyone on here has any idea how I could fix this, please share.
If I end up having to buy another ac, do you have any recommendations?

Thanks in advance for your time.
(I'll post a picture later today)

If u can get away from portables all together u will be better off. I have one in my veg room, it is so inefficient I can't reccomended it. I have a window unit in my flower room, it works much better than my portable. Split unit is probably best if u got the cash and the know how to install it. Portables Suck though. Find a used window unit for around 50 bucks, it will do much better than a portable.

I just picked up a brand new Ideal Air 12000 btu portable.

I don't have the time or money to spend on a hvac/electrical installation, so a Mini split AC is not an option for me at the moment.

Let's see how this portable ac holds up... ill post a pic in a bit..

Once this cycle is done, I'm building a new room with a legit mini split A.C. and I'm never dealing with temp issues ever again. It's stressful and unproductive dealing with the same problem over and over.

Most the time the problem is found in the front switch panel...need a new one here.
Who makes this unit?

I just sent a message to hydro farm asking for parts info on your 14,000...lets see what and when they have to say?
$499.00 retail
Our old unit ran long time...it cools when you have no other option...the control takes a few hours to replace.
