Hydroponic setup need help!

Hi everyone my setup is simple. I have the plants sitting in a rock medium, the plant bow is siting in a 20 gallon tank which is the where the water is and it waters them 3 times a day 30 minute intervals. And i am using 2 40 floro's and i started these plants outside thats why you see one of them already flowerin. thoughts on what i should do with that one, and also i know i need to get new or more light but dont have enough money to get hps so was just thinkin of getting a 2 bulb 48 ' floro fixture instead. and i was just worrying on what to do with the 2 other ones because they have seemed to stop growing. i recently flushed them and started off with micro adv. nutrients. also i was thinkin about adding another plant in there just working on germinating some seeds right now. Dont know what strain. and yes i know im a beginner so please give me some grief but also critique.

Keep in mind, 2x48" bulbs will be 2 narrow bands of light, spread 4' long. This may not be the best type of bulb for your situation. Maybe check out a 4x24" or 2 2x24", the costs are comparable. Ensure they'll work with the t5 lights too, so you'll be able to get them some real lumens.

I've done what you've done before too; starting plants at different times, and wanting to add them to the same grow. It's not a smart move and really creates a hell of a lot more hassle than it's worth. Start your grow all at once, with extras. When you're ready to get'em goin in a full system, just pick the best ones that germ'd and get growin =)
