wats the difference for indoor grow wat are the pros and cons wats so what do u get outta hydro that make it *supposidly* so much better than a soil grow why does it smell different why does it look different oh and an other thing whats the difference doing an indoor grow with co2 or c2o w/e it is??? wat does it do to ur plant what does it help out with and one more question wtf is molasses?????

hydros good cuz u can do it inless space n u can controll it exactly (y im goin that way) but soils also good cuz thers less that could go wrong n u dont gotta leach the hydro taste out

More oxygen to the roots=better growth. so soil is good, hydro is better, aero is best. Some people say soil tastes better though.

CO2 will boost yield 20-30%. molasses is just that, syrupy sugar that some think the plant uses to make bigger buds

i couldn't disagree more...

hydro is much easier to determine and control every aspect of growing, but generally smaller yields due to space limitations (for the average indoor grower).. and i think hydro has a much better taste... so yup, i disagree completely ;)

i disagree once again, i think yield is debatable, but quality is increased by a considerable percentage....

co2 is proven to increase growth, and i have used (measured and controlled co2) for a very long time, i dont think its increased my total yield at all, just the quality (thc level etc)

i use both aero and ebb and flow, aero is awesome!!! my plants generally do better in my aero's..

i have 2 aero's and 3 ebb and flows.. my aero's out perform my ebb and flows...

Soil, Hydro, and Areo are all the best. It all depends on your wants and needs.
For Years all I did was Hydro. Now I am working with Soil. When I used hydro, it was the best for my needs then, But soil is now the system I require for my needs.

Hydro: larger yields, Buds not as dense, smell not as intense.
Aero: see Hydro
Soil: smaller yields, denser buds though, and more intense smell and taste.

At least this is my findings. I have three crops from Hydro, and two from soil, all from clones from the same mother. Seeing as I am not commercial in anyway, soil is what is good for me now. But I still have a place in my heart for areo and hydro. They also have good points.

One other point with Soil. I cut my nutrient cost at least in half, changing to soil. And that is per ounce of buds, not per harvest.

A good organic grow will produce the best taste. Hydro is a more commercial setup IMO. Hydro grows em faster so you get more yield vs a soil grow in the same amount of time. I prefer soil. I grow only for myself so quality is most important to me. If I were selling then I would consider a hydro setup.

co2 to a plant is like oxygen is to us. Given extra co2, plants will produce 20-30% more yield.

Mollasses is used to help bud and resin production. Also increases bud size but not as much as a co2 system.

when i was growing outdoors and using the seasons my yields, would easily double my hydro yields.... my hydro yields are approximately 3 ounces per plant, my outdoor yields would average 8 ounces..

what i do enjoy about hydro is the ease in measurement and control... soil especially outdoor was quite difficult in corrective action..

but like you stated, it all depends on the growers needs and most certainly growers technique...

A good grower will achieve excellent results regardless of the method they use. Just use whatever method suites you.

well u can fuk up easier on hydro since all ur nutrients have to be at a specific level which means mixing of ferts and nutes to get that perfect mix for ur plant or u fux up and soil all u gotta do is add nutes to water and water ur plant if u get nute burn than juss lower dosage and ur done well i dont feel like putting alot more stuff on here that i can name off the top of my head but what im trying to say is from what ive read and what people are sayiong im thinkin hydro= more work and matinence and soil = less work less chance of fuk up but increase pest and deise but a spray can fix that quick so.....

Try both, see what u like. I like dirt, love dirt. But still i plan to try hydro someday. I doubt Ill switch for good but I think it would be fun to build a hydro setup.

so your going off what others have told you and not by experience?? i have grown many and many and many harvest in both, and for me based on my experience hydro is the only way... and a hell of alot easier to MEASURE the nutes, and flush if necessary and readjust...

Whenever any grower is feeding they need to be able to measure what they are feeding, your choice in medium will undoubtably come from your own personal experience... the key words (personal experience), dont take what anyone here has to say as gospel... get out there and grow ;) whatever you chose you will enjoy...

Look dude, my research on hydro on RIU doesnt add up in your favor. Most people here agree that soil is easier, and the best method for a smalltime grower(growing for personal, not commercial). So dont expect everyone to follow you and YOUR experience. This is not the first time this topic has been covered.

And taking others advice is what this site is all about. Learning from the experienced growers. If we were to go off personal experience alone, we wouldnt need RIU now would we?
