hydroton bucket situation

hey all, need some advice. currently have a lsd grow in 2nd week of veg. the girls are in 1.5 in rockwool within a 6 in basket filled with hydroton pellets. The grow seems to be going well, however I noticed that roots are begining to appear at the bottom of the baskets. I was using a drip to waste system and was planning a ebb and flow in flower stage. question...what can i do to protect these expanding roots. should I place them along with the baskets into a pile of hydroton ebb and flow and let roots push thru the basket? help thanks

Yep, roots will grow through the basket, just need to be dark and damp so yea, get some hydroton around them.
