Hypothetical cheap bug killer: Vinegar Soda Co2 bomb

I thought I share this idea as their might be others who could try / test it, as I havent needed it myself for the current purpose.

I've been reading in several posts that a large dose (high level) of Co2 for about an hour should kill most if not all bugs in a somewhat closed enviroment.

Co2 equiptment is expensive, so, generally , this is not something anyone could afford.
BUT
there might be a very easy way to achieve this.

background:
At some point in my grow I needed to test if extra co2 would benefit my plants.
I looked up an easy school experiment on youtube where they used natural or white vinegar with soda (sodium carbonate) (cleaning soda, lots of people have this under their kitchen sink cabinet)
I took a large cup, filled it half with vinegar and dumped a large chunk of soda in it, and voila, the mixture started bubling violently bubbling out Co2 :)
After a few hours I could see the effects as the leafs were looking perkier by the hour (I added some more vinegar and soda a few times) which lead me to add another bio co2 generator.

So, hypothetical:
You take a bucket, fill it half with Natural vinegar or white vinegar and set it in your grow room, next you simply dump in a couple large chunks of Soda in the bucket and watch the Co2 production go nutts.
Make sure to turn of the ventilation, and take measure to prevent heat burn if applicable.
If you would leave this in the tent for an hour, I'm betting you'll be killing bug infestations.

Now, I havent applied it this way yet as I havent had any bugs in my tent, but logic deduction would imply that this should work.
Perhaps, someone with bug problems could give it a test and give some feedback here.

If it would actually work, it would be a massively cheap and effective solution. ;)

Thoughts ? comments ? people who want to give it a try ?
