i have to put the heatsinks up on the site,
but something like:
9 clu048 1212 $13.25x9 = $120
9 120mm heatsinks $18.00x9 = $162
9 bjb holders $2.50x9 = $22.50
same driver $105 = $105

~$410 less 10% RIU discount = ~$370 = $1.15/W
upgraded to 450W at same efficiency:
9 luminus cxm22 $19x9 = $171
9 120mm heatsinks $18.00x9 = $162
9 bjb holders $2.50x9 = $22.50
3 x hlg120h-48A drivers $32 x3 = $96

~$450 less 10% RIU discount = ~$410 = $0.90/W
note his kit doesnt include reflectors (doesnt really even say if he uses holders that make it an option). Add $45 to the final cost above for 9 ledil 13839 refectors (no adapter need with the BJBs
im running a similar rig in a 4.5x5 @ 675W
9 clu058-1825 $44x9 = $396
9 140mm heatsinks $25x9 = $225
9 bjb holders $2.50x9 = $22.50
3 x hlg185h-48A drivers $44 x3 = $132

~$776 less 10% RIU discount = ~$700 = $1.04/W
so you can see that although all of them beat the ebay rig in $/Watt at the same efficiency, the sweetspot is that 450W rig at $0.90/W. it features the most economical use of chips and heatsinks and drivers. you could even push it a little harder with 3 185s instead of 120s with a tiny efficiency hit. its a cheap $30 upgrade to get you from 450 to 550ishW.
the small rig would also work with smaller heatsinks at ~$40 less (~$1.00/W) but im outta 105mm right now, just got a small stash for myself
