Ok, so I plan on setting up a 400 watt HPS to use for flowering on my next grow, seeing as I'm pretty far into flowering now with my CFLs and the results are really nice (yes..I know...I should put up pictures)
Anyway, I bought a Radiant AC 8" Hydrofarm reflector, for $169. It's one of their best, and the reason I went with Hydrofarm over Sun Systems is because I also plan on getting a 400 watt Lumatek, because from all the material I've read, they lead the electronic ballast industry and for some reason, Hydrofarm is their official distributer and for any other reflector to be used with a Lumatek you need to do some re-wiring...which frankly I do not want to mess with.
So my question is this...
Was this a smart purchase? Will this last me a lifetime if I take care of the reflector? Are hydrofarm reflectors as good as Sun System reflectors?
On a side note...I wouldn't be suprised if all these reflectors are made by the same company somewhere in China, and they just sell them off to companies like Hydrofarm or Sun Systems who then stamp their logo all over it...
Thanks for looking.
