I cant get rid of bugs...

I have what looks to me like little gnats or nats? I have sprayed orco bug killer for fruits and vegetables but to no avail. any suggestions...I'm trying to keep it as organic as possible.

neem oil is good. sand at the top layer of the medium is said to keep the adult gnats from being able to lay/hatch the larvae. Its the larvae really that you should be most concerned about, if it is indeed gnats you have. Where are you seeing the bugs? around the base, and the medium.. crawling/flying around? or up top on leaves, and like little tiny spiders?

you can also hang the yellow sticky strips - that should catch a lot of the adult gnats - if it is indeed gnats.

yeah its gnats. they are in the soil untill i start moving the plants around and watering then they try to fly a little. they are very small.

i kept on spraying the bug spray stuff but its not doing anything at all...its like they are immune to it

on YOUTUBE theres a video on FUNGUS GNATS. thats what you have. theres a couple things you can do. FIRST off placing a cup of coffee in the grow room will atract the adults and drown them, this also helps in having something to identify, ALSO there is a procedure involving removing the top layer of soil, bout a inch, and placing some sand, bout a inch, to completely cover the top of the soil. this interrupts the life cycle and effectivly eliminates further gnats production. hope this helps....... BTW go to YOUTUBE and type in FUNGUS GNATS. there are quite a few videos.

You want something with the active ingredient spinosad.

This is what i use

It is great on a great range of pests and it is organic.

i wound up running a fogger, hanging up sticky traps, I did use sand, but I didnt scoop enough of the coco off the top at first, so I didnt like the way it was forcing water to run off the top so much, so I just removed it. I hear diatomaceous earth works good too - but havent tested.

@jondamon - that spinosad looks interesting. need to research that.

It works on THRIPS APHIDS SPIDER MITES FUNGUS GNATS CATERPILLARS etc etc its a really good all rounder.

You could try tobacco juice; add some vegetable oil as a wetting agent and to maximize the impact. Cheap, organic, and effective.

I had them when I first started growing and they love soggy soil let the soil dry out between water like really dry

for god sakes dont water with tobacco. get some azatol or azamax and water with that. works fukin great. goodtimez

i had aphids. i just let my soil get super dry between waterings. and i have a fan on them constantly blowing. its a oscillating fan on 2. its doesnt move tho, i have it fixed on my babys. so i guess they dont like.....
