hi guys, i have 5 northern lights from nirvana, in 11 L pots under 600 W HPS . They have 3 days under 1 CFL + 4 weeks under 600w hps . but i don't know how much to let them vegging, i think to let them another week and then in begining of the 6 week(when will they have 35 days) to diminuate the light with 2H/day until i get 12/12 . Or to add another week , total to be 7 weeks?

veg doesn't matter, switch when you want.but, you want to switch them with the understanding they will stretch the first 2 weeks of 12/12, how much depends on a few things. but you need to account for that more than anything.

Depends on how much space you have. They will probably double in size from the time you flip until harvest...unless you hit them with bushmaster or phoshoload to stop vertical growth.

A couple hints..get a MH bulb, and you don't need to steadily decrease to 12/12. Just shorten it.

how much height you working with
the 600w bulb can be raised on 160-170 cm/ 65 inch maximum , they have 25 cm /10 inch in height with LST , with pots included 50 cm/17 inch.

i don't want to decrease the yieald because i didn't wait one more week, i aim to 8-9-10 ounces from this 5.

as long as you have room for the stretch, veg them out as long as you want. just remember to account for it.

When I grew Northern Lights it doubled is height, if not slightly less than double and stopped gaining height after about two weeks in 12/12.
ISS went nearly triple for me and grew for over three weeks in 12/12.

I have a cooled 600 hps and like to keep the plants about 12"-15" away. It is better to have extra room up top than it is to burn or have to tie down your buds for being too close.

Those girls look ready for a 12/12 switch right now. They'll be very full inside of that space. Much more veg prior to the switch and it will be too tight. Looks good though, real good.

If you switch to 12/12 today they will likely nearly double in height during flowering.
The longer they veg the less they will stretch during flowering.

Good luck, BigSteve.

If that's the room your using for flower stage then defo switch now..... As most said above they will most prob double in size, but if you have a bigger flower room then veg longer...... Longer veg = more bud !!!! Oh and nice one on not rushing the veg process ..... Looks good.

ok then guys, i think monday i will flip , but i have 2 problems:

1. one of the plant has been unsucesfully FIM two weeks ago , and yesterday i FIM it again , now if i flip to 12/12 it will be okay?

2. i think i have a bit of calcium or magnesium deficiency ,but i dont know very sure, because on my first watering i put with a bit to much nutrients and they were burn a little . i dont know now if is burning or cal mag def . if cal mag i need to buy some calmag stuff or i let them grow without it (just 1-2 leaves from each plant has something wrong with that).?? [ they are in biobizz all mix soil , ph 6.7 everytime i water them , i used for two waterings bio grow and bioheaven).

thx for all the answers:clap::-P

They look a little cooked, so what.........& the fim thing.....no worries, just blast off. The only issue I see in your pix is that they are so compact, that comes from quality Nitrogen & good light.....just good habits all around. Deficiency usually starts when the buds are so big that they tax the soil. Biobizz wants you to win so if you stay on the label directions you should get real close to perfect.
