Not to sure what you're asking?
If it has nanners then it's not a she,it's a he.

Evidently you are having a problem identifying sex so if you have no pic then there's reall no way to draw a conclusion as to what it is.
If it has little ball sacks then it is most likely a male.
It could be a hermie but like I said,no pic,not sure what it is.
Good luck

he said he picked a nanner off a bud. Clearly he knows what sex it is, but is questioning the nanner.

some strains will push out a few nanners late in flowering. They're not hermies, or males obviously. It's just a trait. If they do happen to pollinate themselves, chances are likely that they won't have enough time to do any damage, or grow any seeds.

Some plants are obviously straight hermie, and will destroy your crop if not caught early enough.

I'd say with 2 weeks left, just keep an eye on things, and pinch them off when you see them. Your bud will be fine.

Pick em off ! Two weeks left - let them finish up like (Dub) said. Some will continue to throw them - others will produce a couple and be done - inspect daily. If you have other plants in different stages of flower, you may want to consider moving it. If all in the same stage, likely nothing much will happen with such a short time remaining.

What is happening is some strains in a last ditch effort to reproduce will produce "female pollen" sacs in an attempt to self pollenate and grow beans...what that is my friend is "female pollen" wich means it will produce "feminized beans"...if it was me and it was a good strain, I would collect that pollen and make a cross x...good luck

Good point about it being female pollen BUT.......the offspring will have "nanner"ing genes. Do you really want to be parinoid every time you grow one of those beans out?
Just my thoughts.

I'm sorry I should have explained further...usaully this nanner problem is caused by stressing the plant, and if stressed enough it will self pollenate...stressing could be caused by over/under fert, wrong light schedule or light leaks, more often than not it's the growers fault and they don't even know it...so it's not "nannering genes"...it's stressing the plant, I do it all the time to get a crop of something...rather than use collidial silver, I take a rooted clone stick it in flower for 2 weeks...pull it out and put it back into veg for 5 days...stick it back into flower and she will grow nanners, thus you will have a bunch of feminized beans of that strain...good luck and happy growin' :weed:

To further complicate matters, I have cloned for sex, and grew out a nice little cloned bud plant...no issues on it....
Then, I put it's mom into bud.... 5 weeks later it starts throwing nanners....
No light leaks, no stress, just bad genetics... The mom grew um, the daughter did not....so did I clone part of the plant that was stable ? Or what?
Yes I saved the seeds, except, it's so much easier to clone....
Good Luck...

Damn Sand sorry to hear that...had the same thing happen to me once, but I grew out the rest of the clones I pulled, and not a 1 of them did it to me...I didn't think (and still don't) that I had stresses it, but I must've done something, cause I still have that strain, and not a 1 has thrown nanners since...unless I want it too .........plus the mom doing ok and the daughter not doing ok tells me there must've been something going on that you were not aware of....I am in no way an expert, but I still do read alot of books on horticulture...and I don't only grow MJ....we grow ALL our own veggies and fruit right here on the property...

I've grown plenty of Hermaphrodites and I have a complete Thread dedicated to this subject. When I first dealt with some Herm's in my grow closet, I panicked! Fuck, my grow is FUCKED! Well, I over reacted! I get a Herm in my grow now, and I just pluck the balls off of the nodes (large grows can't do this, so I understand their frustration with Herms).

If you remove the pollen sacks/nanners when you see them, you'll have very few, if any seeds in the end. And the seeds you do get, they will be Female, with the Hermaphrodite tendency/trait. I have also grown plants, using the seeds from my Herm grow, with no nanners or balls. So it's not a guarantee that your plant will Herm even though you used the seeds from your Herm'd plant.

Breeders will force MJ plants to Herm so they can acquire the pollen that will guarantee them Female seeds. This is why some growers don't use Feminized seeds and start their grow the old fashioned way; grow out regular seeds and separate the Male and Female plants, then Clone. As long as a stressful event doesn't take place, the plants should not Herm.

I have good friends who do large, outdoor grows, and they stay away from Feminized seeds. Also, if you ever find seeds in your bag weed, it's from a Hermaphrodite, unless someone just ignored that ugly Male growing in their garden.
