I got 2 stupid question I think...about harvest

So I just flushed my plant, it was 7 weeks into flowering.

I flushed it with PhD water 3x size my pot, so it could clean up the soil, but NOT to prepare it for harvest!.. I still want the buds and the plant to grow fully before the “harvest mode”

So my question is:

When you flush at week 7 of flowering.
Does the plant automatically go into this type of “harvest mode”? Where it starts to think it’s dying out and sucking all of nutrients left in the soil preparing itself for harvest. If so, anything I can do to reverse it?

Info about Plant and Environment:
• 7 weeks into flowering
• Soil (bought local)
• Gold Label Nutrients Coco (works for soil to)
• HPS I switch between 316w-400w.
• Light distance from plant: 30-40cm
• Humidity: 50-55% Temperature: 20-26c
• 3L pots, Transplanting to 6 or 10L tonight.
• Don’t remember the strain, unfortunately.

Well here we go with another debate on flushing. Lol

Also I want to kind of redirect your thinking if I may.

The plant doesn't go into harvest mode for our enjoyment. Its dying and sucking out everything it needs to try to survive a little longer.

Personally I dont believe in flushing. You can flush the roots of salts but you cant flush the buds.

Yes this does cause the plant to go into survival mode however the nutrients it is sucking from the leaves is still going directly into the buds...

I guess my thought on this topic is I will give my plants what ever they need to not struggle so they can focus energy into what matters the most for us.

You started to flush too early and depending on your nutes, it might not be needed at all. What do you mean with flushing? Did you run tons of water through it or did you just stop adding nutes to water? Flushing with tons of water is in case you overdose the plant, flushing at the end is just dropping off nutes and it could be just dropping some of the nutes completely and only feeding little of some. You would only do this running tons of water through soil in end of life cycle if you suddenly noticed that you need to harvest in few days and you fed the plant bit too heavy on chemical salt based nutes. Then it could work, but you need to give time for the plant to use up whats already in it, because you only remove stuff from soil with it.

Many people on this forum seems to only know that flushing means just one of these things.

What do you talk about transplanting to bigger pot? There is no point to transplant if the plant s already in heavy flowering, it wont grow any new roots. And why would you transplant if you were going to harvest it soon anyways? It looks like you sucked all the nutrients away from it, so it doesent have much to grow with anymore.

What do you exactly do, what you do it with and why do you do what you do, whats your aim in it?

There is no "harvest mode" that turns on when you wash away all nutes..

I’m not planning to harvest it soon, I’m trying to avoid harvesting. I just wanted to clean up the soil. I was seeing signs of nutrients Lockout.

But since I flushed my soil with tons of water, based on what are read I thought the plant usually go to this type of “harvest mode” Where it prepares itself for harvesting by sucking all the nutes left in the soil.

Btw, 10 hours after I flushed it (with tons of water) I gave the plant about 0,4l water with nutrients. I didn’t want it to struggle too find nutrients. I’m very new to this bro :wall:

Next time don’t flush, and see how the plant turns out, that way you can make the comparison yourself and see what you like better.

Ah, it looks like you have starved it a lot, what many try to do before harvest

Yeah I think u might be right. I’ll post a photo of how it’s looking now, when it wakes up from 12/12. So far I’ve transplanted it and gave it sum nutrients.;)
