in a way your right, to be honest though for veg color spectrum doesnt matter to much if your only using one spectrum. I've vegged under all red b4(couldnt find any blues around here first grow) and all blue b4 and really their is no difference in the end. However i have found a mixed spectrum outperforms using just one of them. I dont really worry bout ratio too much but i'd go for 1 red for every 2 blue(so if you were using 3 bulbs it would be 1 red and 2 blue, for six 2 red and 4 blue) for veg and the other way around for flowering.(1 blue for every 2 red)

Oops, I didn't mean to speak for everyone. I should have said that most posts I've come across say that the mixture of bulbs is always in favor of whatever stage of growing your in (i.e. veg 70/30 6500k to 2700k and vice versa). I learned something new.

1. No. It's historically, blue for veg, red for flower.
2. Why are you so against mixing spectrums? Do you not like/want to get "the best cfl nugs"?
