Hi guys, I checked under my leaves and can find tiny little white insects moving around.... I am pretty sure they are thrips.

Do I need to get rid of them or can I leave them?

If I need to eliminate them, how?

Any tips on environmental conditions to stop their growth??

Thanks guys!

Kill em. Get a 1 gallon sprayer or spray bottle

1. Neem oil
2. 3% hydrogen peroxide, 70% rubbing alcohol and dish soap - Dawn or Ivory or Dr. Bonners Peppermint oil soap or Castille. Dawn is the last choice.
1/2 gallon of water about 7 table spoons of peroxide, 5 table spoons of rubbing alcohol and a few drops of dish soap (not anto bacterial kind). Shake in 1 gallon sprayer bottle and spray under the leaves.
2a. You can probably use Dr. Bronners Peppermint by itself too. 21ml of soap to 50oz water. One guy on youtube adds a few drops of Dawn. You can get Bronners at drug store, GNC, Vitamin Shoppe and many other places.
3. Spinosad.
4. Google CaliCleaner aka Pepper Spray.
5. 1 gallon sprayer 1/2 gallon of water, 4 table spoons of canola oil, 2 tablespoons of 70% rubbing alcohol and a few drops of dish soap.

You will see thirps on the stems too. Thrips are bigger than spider mites.

Is your grow area clean? How hot and how humid? How many plants?

If you got thrips they can screw a plant over easily. The adult flies dont hurt the plant but the wingless instella phase of their lives revolves around scratching the leaves to drink the sap. Youll notice small white silvery scratch lines and with enough the whole leaf will be covered. They are fucking ninjas, hide up againt veins, hide or live in new growth, can climb down the stem to live on the soil at night and if you chase one trying to squash it it'll jump or dive of whaatever it was on.

The adult lays tiny eggs on the underside of leaves directly above soil so its young can fall into the soil which is where they live until they are able to climb your plants as the thrips you see on your leaves. Untill they multiply enough you wont hardly ever see them and usually you notice the scratches on the leaves first cause they are hard to spot even when right in front of you.

They are attracted to CO2 so slow deep breaths on the leaves near them can encourage them to come out of hiding and investigate. Checking the stems at lights on might enable you to see them climbing the stems from the soil to feed as i think they are daylight not notnocturnal bugs.

Personally they are tricky and preventing their life cycle seems better than a chemical cure. Diatomaceous earth on the soil will slice them up, preadatory mites and wasps will hunt the leaf eaters and garlic and onion in a bowl will discourage the flys. That with chemicals and manually hunting and squishing them is my advice and how ive had to deal with them in tents pluss netting any vents so no flies can get in. Never be to sure with thrips, one of the few bugs thats bad indoors. Shocking how bad the damage is if they get hold and multiply.

Yeah - King Grow comments and Konasure and Spinosad. I assume spinosad does not affect the smoke.

Thirps use the stems as like a highway on the plant. They are good at hiding in little corners on plants too.

spinosad is a soil bacteria takes around 10 to 20 days for it to die off after that its not harmful and wont effect taste or smell

I try to avoid soaking buds with it, normally like to use it 30 days before harvest at the min or its kinda a waste of money

you can use a bug bomb if you want something that`s safe in 3 to 10 days, but it won`t be as effective

I got myself some Diatomaceous and watered the plant by adding 10 tablespoons to the water. I read that it will slice the creatures up. I am going to continue watering with it. I have also added a layer above my top layer.

Will this solve my issue??

I have additionally gassed the room with burning sulfur.

If that doesent work, ill probably torch the place.

Are you in flower or veg? Are you in N America or can you get a organic big spray with Spinosad where you are?

The only nevative to using spinosad is what it can do to the bees. So if you keep that in mind when/where you spray, i love the stuff. For spinosad I use conserveSC. 3.5ml/gal, the shit is the bomb.

Is that 3 ml to spray the plants in a 1 gallon sprayer or 3 ml to water the plants soil in a 1 gallon water bucket? Spinosad can be a foliar spray on the leaves or you can water it into the plant. Thanks..
