I just can't tell if it's harvest time

I have two babies... One GDP and one Tahoe Alien.. It's now week 9 of flowering.. I THINK the Tahoe Alien is ready but can't say for sure.. As for the GDP, I am undecided...
So, thought I would ask the professionals what you think...
The first 4 pics are the GDP, the next 4 the Alien.
Thanks folks

those all clear 10-14 days PLEASE

Ohhh, you don't know how bad I want to sample the goods but I can't just yet cause I'm going through the process of getting a new job and where I live, they drug test.... But I can guarantee you that once that test is done, I'm gonna get real familiar with the couch!

Definitely wait, I don't see any milky trichromes. Thumper's head on with 10-14 days. Just keep checking with your microscope and you'll start seeing more and more that look more like sugar than rain drops.

I thought they looked clear too but then, especially with the Alien, I thought I could see some amber... Been looking at pictures on the internet of cloudy trichomes and I just can't decide...
I seem to go through this every time I grow... I always second guess myself

Ok, it's almost been 2 weeks since my original post. I just looked at the trics today and I gotta say, they don't look any different from the pictures I posted with my original post... Still mainly clear..
I did cut back on the nutes thinking I'll be harvesting soon but now I don't know.. Tomorrow will be 11 weeks on a 12/12 schedule.
Do you think I should start back up with full nutes?
I'm using one 400w HPS light. This has worked well for the relatively small grows I've had in the past. This time, still only 2 plants but these ones are much bigger than the ones I've grown in the past (these are almost 6ft tall).
I'm ok with waiting longer but again, do you think I should go back to full nutes? Leaves are yellowing on both and purple on the GDP.
Thanks for any advice..

I personally don't like to use nutes that close to the end (just habit from what I was taught.) One trick I've heard about is giving a couple extra hours of dark in your light cycle to help stimulate the plant to mature faster, but I've no first hand knowledge to swear by.

I had a mentor who purposefully instructed me to let my weakest plant go until it shrivels and browns. It was a nice case study in that it allowed me the ability to get-passed that newbie/early vut and cut/anxiety. I needed to see all phases of a plants maturity so that I would know how to identify ripeness. I can't help but recommend the same to anyone that's new to indoor cannabis growing. Or outdoor for that matter.

As the old adage goes, "The road to Hell was paved with The Best of intentions".

We all start out with the right intentions and purity of heart. It's just that there are always unforeseen factors that arise and that, ladies and gentlemen, is what makes what we do so special. Even the most experienced of growers run into unforeseen adversity and it is by how we react and amend the situation that sets us apart. I recommend purposefully doing everything off the hip and completely wrong within one's first season so that we know what NOT to do.

i wouldn't put them back on the nute schedule. they'll be ripening soon. if you're in a soil type medium, you can try piling some ice on top of the soil, and cool the roots down, and pseudo signal the end of the season coming. nice looking bud!

I had cut all nutes after week 6 thinking I would harvest at week 8. I just stayed with plain water for another week and a half (like 3-4 waterings), and then I switched her light schedule to 16 dark/8 light to see if it causes the buds to mature faster. I also flushed her roots with cold water to let her know “winter is coming”, like Shluby said. However, I only did that for like three days and saw a swell in the calyx’s but nothing major, though if it had been longer I probably would’ve seen more swelling.

Well, I did what InigoMontoya suggested over a week ago and cut the lighting back 2 hours and the GDP has certainly started going cloudy but it kinda looks like most are going amber instead of cloudy... Is that possible? The GDP leaves are going purple and drying up. Is the lack of nutes making them go amber? The alien tahoe hasn't had nutes for the same amount of time yet its still green and lush with clear and amber trichs.. So confusing...

Can you post new pictures? Of trichs and the buds.

They look good to me. I can definitely see the amber and the buds look good, but I’m still a noob. 90% of the time experienced growers will tell you to keep going :bigjoint:
