I know nothing about curing

I have been reading past threads and using google to find the best way to properly dry and cure. I have came up with hanging upside down somewhere that has controlled temp and Rh. Should it be airtight? Should i have fans running? Dark? After the initial 12 or so days of drying, i have read about Wooden boxes or something. Can someone please help with this? Thanks in advance

I usually hang dry in my tent with a fan at its lowest setting pointed away from the hanging herb. Your tent or room doesn't have to be airtight and yes keep it dark. The link @twalte provided above is full of useful info on this matter.
