I Miffed my FIM, please halp!

brand spanking new to the forums so go easy xD

So I rushed into my grow a little, as you can see from my sketchy but must i say, GREAT show of ingenuity

Grown once before an all natural put her in the pot and let her go style though, never an indoor let alone a DWC

Nutrients used:
Veg - Floranova Grow
Veg/Flower transition and onwards: Mills Basis A+B (will be using the C4 in 1.5 weeks time) <- 2700k but camera flash

I FIM'd her after about a week old(in veg not from seedling) and her 3rd node grown but i must say, im quite sure i did a big miffy on this one, she BARELY has made any upwards growth since but is outgrowing my closet sideways....

Did i miff up my FIM job or is this simply an Indica being a a naturally bushy bastard and encouraged even more so after FIM'ing?|

Seeing as i have miffed it (if thats what the general consensus is) should i be using my screen to encourage upwards growth on the main stems and just accepting the middle wont ever be as tall as the rest? or keep it how i have it and let her freeeee!

Vegged for roughly 6 weeks, will be flowering for 8 weeks - 2 days into the switch as we speak

P.S anything else you over educated indoor growers may be able to give me the heads up on would be much appreicated, i feel i have my optimums pretty well tied in currently though

I did the same thing with a Bowser 29. It flattened it better than a SCROG. Never had one do that. Stretch in flower was about 2". But heavy in buds!

Welcome to the forum and my compliments on a nice professional start. Everyone has their own personal preferences regarding grow style. I have never done DWC but I love E&F as well as DTW.

OK...my opinions...
I have tried Fimming on over a dozen plants and I've never had it work. There's some alchemy or magic touch that I don't posses.

And yes...I feel your plant is an indica just being an indica. Squat and compact and even more so once you top them.

Much will depend on how much she stretches. Good luck and looking forward to seeing your progress.

I'm busy building a room and not growing at the moment...so I get my thrills vicariously (well not all of them).

I played around with FIM'ing a blue dream (since they like to grow tall) and this is what it looked like .. If you want a weed bush then FIM'ing is the way to go.

Im just using some bag seeds - 20 in the cloth - 2 germinated - only kept the best one (the other was only just hitting veg when the other was ready for fimm)
Definitly indica dominant, im hoping ive hit the jackpot on some kush or a sub species of it - the biggest positive to a bag seed grow, you get a surprise when she's female, an even bigger surprise when shes some dank
