I might be paranoid but i rather double check

everything was going good until this morning when I went to check on the plants I noticed one of the leaves had dark spots on it but I also noticed that it was only 80 in the tent and the vent was blowing cold air on the plants so I'm not sure if that's all it was or if it is something else...I got my ppm meter today and it seems fine... it reads 363 and I try to keep the ph at 5.7 or 5.8 at all times I check it 3-5 times a day

another stupid question I have but I think it may be a sign of a healthy thing is that I have another 5gallon set up with 3 plants which seem to be in full veg state at this point, they are growing almost an inch a day but for the past 3 days and I'm adding at least one full pitcher of water 3 times a day so about 3 full pitchers a day, just want to make sure that is normal... the plants are about 6 weeks old and the ppm is 756 and ph seems to drop to 5.4 or so but I always keep it up at 5.7-5.8 at all times...I know I sound paranoid but this is my first grow and I don't want to lose any plants at this point I've lost a few in the begging and it sux when it happens...Thanks again for the help

I know your pain. A dead plant is a loss anyway you look at it. I don't see anything that looks like impending disaster. They look a bit on the yellower side but that may be your photo. I don't see any dark spots. The only spots I see are a few lighter spots - looks like a little cell crap going on, but not to worry. The water amount your giving seems a bit much. It's good for the plants to get in a cycle where you give them water a day before they go a little bit limp. Make them thirst for water. When you do water, use the same amount and pour evenly each time.

The leaves look good. No wrinkle, no curl, no burn.

Keep in mind over-watering can lead to root rot or stunted growth. Check your dain holes and watch to see if the water is seeping all the way down to those holes.

yeah I just looked at the pic lol...the spots do seem lighter in the pic I did put a HPS bulb in yesterday, I think thats what it is and due to a crappy camera phone worth $3 makes it look like that...Thanks for the advice always appreciated....I'm sure I'll have at least another thousand questions between now and the curing process...I hope they don't boot me off the forum...lol...thanks again

I've seen similar spots on leaves (made'm myself, even) by splashing nute solution onto them, causing a local burn. cn

so I woke up today and that leaf is still the same but the plant next to it has about 5 leaves doing the same all little brown spots but no yellow in them (could it be the HPS bulb or maybe the light could be to low? not sure if that may be an issue)

Well if they are getting too hot...or OMG...what is the temp of your reservoir? Do you have anything blocking the light from fully hitting the top and sides of the tub or bucket? it looks like Hydro to me....anyway if the rez is too hot you will get all manner of brown spots and strange curls...check your roots and see if any look a little brownish at all...I had this issue in hydro when I first started, so I gave up hydro...but I got lazy and instead of moving a few clones out of the cloner, I have just been trying to figure out how to just leave them hydro...So, since I have new knowledge of hydro that isn't just failure after failure I will say that you should super check your temps and make sure you have something light blocking or even reflecting over the top and sides of your rez...it really makes a huge difference.

the light is about 2 1/5 feet away...it is a 400 watt bulb...the water is cool, the roots don't have any browning going on yet and the temp on the floor of the tent is 85 and the top of the tent is 90..what did happen though is that I have other plants in another container next to it that grew huge within a week but the are about a month ahead of these ones...which I kind screwed myself on because I think it's time to flower those but I'm trying to wait for these to catch up and these are supposed to be the good ones that I purchased the seeds the other were freebies but are doing awesome...

this is what is going on in the tent right now...right when I thought things were going good something else happens I think I might have to buy a whole new set up for the smaller ones...last Monday they were all the same size but the ones on the right grew 6" ever since I did the right nutrient mixture. I could move the fan that's in there out and move the smaller plants over (i only use the fan at night for a couple of hours at a time just to give the inline fans a break)

I can see your dilema. If I'm getting this right. The plants on the right are ready to go, I agree they can go to flowering anytime you want. If you continue vegging for the plants on the left that ran you some money for the seeds the plants on the right will continue to veg and looks like you're limited on space. Not being able to rearrange the plants in the space, you're stuck with what you got.

I'm guessing your next good move would be to get real good at cloning so when you do get plants that are good strains you can then control the timing, size, and amount of future plants.

I don't have stock in EZ-Clone machines, but they unslaved me to buy seeds and clones and put me in the drivers seat as to what I'm growing, what strains to keep, and they clone super fast!

300 bucks for a 30 clone maker isn't cheap, but they root up fast and EASY. I just cut, dip in gel, put in machine, change the water once after 7 days - The clones are ready for soil with nice roots in 9 - 12 days.

If this were my situation, I'd let them all veg for another week or so, then take them to the promised land.

Never give up...
