I need a purple expert!

First off.... hello all! I love RIU. :joint: good site. SOO down to buisness. I am managing a 80 plant S.O.G. growop. using 4 600's over a 4x8 tray. the plants are in 1.5 gallon buckets, I transplanted them 3 days ago.

let me start from the begining. when my room was completed. I began searching for genetics. I am really picky about what genetics I work with. (Ive never worked with purple.) Having checked most places in my home town with no luck. I started calling places in San francisco. I found out that the most popular place to get clones was grassroots. So on dec 12 I made my way to the bay. I arrived at the collective and asked about their selection of clones. I wanted 80 of the same strain. but they where at the end of their inventory. I talked to the budtender and found out that they had 37 PK and 41 GDP. and 2 GC 80 total. (my tray fits 72 and my mom room fits 8) So I had a choice to make, grow 2 strains, 2 purple strains. Or drive all the way home with nothing. I went to the car to think. After much deliberation I got the clones from them. I took them home. (what I didn't realize at that time was the health and watering cycles of the clones. you see bolth the GDP and the PK had progression of (N)(P)(K) and (Mg) they where just using plain water. also when they aranged the clones for me they took clones from lots of different trays that where being watered at different times. this causes problems for me later.)

They were so small (4 inches)I decided it was in my best intrest to put them into 16oz styrofoam cups under a t5 light for two weeks before I introduce the sodium light. So i prepare a 5% neem oil dip to make sure their will be no pests coming from the club to my room. I dipped the clones and transplanted them into soil. then watered with a Earth Juice microbiotea solution. (I will list what that contains.) After they where all transplanted and watered I began to study their health. 2 days goes by. they recover some what from the shock of the transplant. Hovever on the third day I realized I had waited too long to water again! 20 of my GDP are sick! the PK are still moist and can go for 12 more hours but the GDP are bone dry and haiting life! having no tea prepared. I watered plain water. so the (N) defcency got worse. As the days go on the rate they are using water becomes further apart. I water 25 then 12 hours later another 20 then 6 hours later another 15. then the last 20 are wet for another day! I water three more times with little growth. during this time ten of the sick clones are so bad i kill them off.(leaving me with 70) then on day 17 I realized I had left them in the cups for 4 days too long!! I began an emergency transplant into the 1.5's that night. New Years Eve. I finished the last plant at 8am january first. about half of my garden is badly root bound. all of them have some kind of defcency that I cant get rid of beacuse their not drinking very fast. only about 5 out of 70 are heathy It has been three days since the transpland and still little improvements. I know the root bound will take time and the shock from the transplant is taking its toll. so i am vegging them for at least a week with my sodiums. But thats costly. I just dont want to have to buy more clones! (Im already beating myself up for not building the mom room first :-x)

so that is where I am at right now. my plants are recovering from the transplant and hardening up to the HPS. I will post detailed pictures of every phase of growth asap! also the tea ingredience if anyone is intrested.

Man that sounds like a frantic new year bro. Long nights and shit. Ive never done hydro man but it sounds like you got real excited about gettin the big harvest really fast, i understand though, but your right you shoulda got the best lookin of each strain and thrown them in a clost grow under CFL or T5's that way you would have the genetics forever and just flower them, how expensive were 80 clones holy shit? it sounds like you should just let them get stable for a while...you say all this like it happened between christmas and new years thats a lot of light/nute/transplant/root shock/temp/water/ and a lot more for a plant to go through in a week, i would say what ever you have them in now leave them there and let them get comfortable they went through a lot of shock dude for a baby plant that can be fatal jst let them chill dont over feed, just water with 1/4 ingredient, btu also didnt you say you were doing SOG thats hydro so arent they under water all the time? what do yo mean you waterthem seperately?

It is a sea of green "style" grow but im doing soil organic. lots of little pots close together. Im using a 2 part amazom bloom 1 part black gold with 20% perilite added. right now im hand wateringso i can do it sepertly. im hopeing this transplant will give them rythm.

well i really need some help identifying the different deficiency types i know what they are but it varies so much throughout the garden... its hard to explain i need to post some pics of the girls.

and the biggest thing im having problems with getting to know this strain... its a little more picky than others ive worked with.

I've found that when in a watering situation like that, I can just give them all a good watering when one group is ready. A single overwatering for the ones that weren't ready yet is no big deal - just keep the room warmish, with good air circulation so they all dry out somewhat quickly; and they're all on the same schedule again.

I can't imagine spending that much on clones. I'm a cheapskate - I'd take the patient route: buy a few, grow them as quickly as possible, then cut my own clones.

By the way 80 clones at grassroots costs $1200! selling clones is the biggest scam.
Too funny, me and my buddy trade clones...thats how my selection is growing, I am going to have a shitload of mothers.

I have as mothers, God Bud, NYCD, Strawberry Cough, Blue Cheese, Sweet Dreams, Carmelicious, Calidream and Purple Power.

Hopefully I get a "The Black", Hindu Kush and and Lasqueti Haze mother out of each as well....I will know when i move them into flowering. Although my lasqueti haze is showing preflowers with a hair so my hopes are high, no pun intended, well maybe actually i did mean that :bigjoint:

Anywhoo check out my post bro!
