i need some help with my PH please.

alright so this is not my first time growing but i am totally confused on this one. i calibrated my hanna digital ph meter with the 7 and 4 solution. i have 10 seedlings 2 1/2 weeks in to life and when i put my meter in the soil its reading me crazy numbers like 1.70 then jumps to 3.20 then drops back down and the ph symbol goes on and off. i then wash it and take it out and place it in the 7.0 solution and it reads the 7. is my soil very low?? i am using MG organic soil? could it be the soil i am using or my meter is retarded.......

it's a meter made to measue the ph of liquids, not soil. You can measure the ph of the liquid going in and the runnoff liquid, but not the soil.

yeah man sorry..if you wanna test yoru ph..test the runoff...or take it to a local nursery orrrrrrrr get a soil ph test from homedepot

Ahh i gotchya, I am gonna get one asap for soil and use this one for checking the waters ph before I water my plants. Thanks a lot man...
