I have a 55 gallon resivor that's been full for two weeks now and is ready for a resivor change. I picked up 30 ft of ebb n grow water hose that I'll run out the door in to the bathroom were I'll hook up the draining pump and it should pump out everything inside? Then I have both florasheild and hygrozyme to add to the next fill . What should I do from there? And do I use both products? Should I use a scruber and wipe down everything while I empty it out and use fresh water with florasheild in it to help cleen out the pump. Then when I refill the resivor add hygrozyme to the nutes? Any help will be cool. Thank you

Cool. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I was about to use this 70$ bottle of florasheild and it asked for half the bottle one resivor change. Sucks. It's ok because I'm using hygrozyme in my nutes. Wich Im using foxfarm hydro. I did rap some 1.5 inch stirofoam pad in Mylar and am planing on puting it under my pots so they'll drain more as well as reflect up light underneath the plants. Though I just looked and the roots haven't grown out the iner bucket so I'll Waite till then.Any ways. The ebb n grow system is easy!!!

What do you do with the plant while you clean out the reservoir?

clean it out good.. make sure its covered so no light hits the water..

I also like to use some hydrogen peroxide about twice a month (cant use with your hygrozyme) been doing that for years and swear by it..

My question was, where do you put the plant while you clean the reservoir? Obviously the plant has to be moved in order for one to drain the reservoir and clean it out.

My question is how do you keep the plant safe from damage while cleaning the reservoir? What are some of the best methods?

No the resivor is seprate from the pots. So far all I have to do is cleen and refill every two weeks with fresh everything. Hydro is spendy in that I have 55 gallons filled up with basicly liquid money lol !!
