In spite of the recent Amtrak accident, Republicans passed a bill today with the vote along party lines, that would further reduce spending on an already slashed transportation budget, pushed through by Republican fiscal fucking Conservatives, who were behind the slashing, on all transportation related expenditures. Then today, THEY ACTUALLY HAD THE BALLS TO TELL THE DEMOCRATES, NOT TO TIE THE SPENDING CUTS INTO THIS ACCIDENT, AS IT WAS "UNAPPOROPIATE". Fuck me. OK, all you Republican/Conservative dickwads on this site, explain the sense of the Republican argument that we need cuts on THE FUCKING DECAYING INFRASTRUCTURE OF THIS COUNTRY, TO SAVE MONEY, WHILE INCREASING MILITARY SPENDING BY 30 FUCKING PERCENT OVER THE NEXT 10 FUCKING YEARS. Come on, EXPLAIN IT.

They will cry, gnash their teeth and argue all week long, but in the end Amtrak will be voted out and more military spending in by both republican'ts and democant's.

Amtrak should have died 10 years ago, it hasn't turned an actual profit, ever.
Publicly funded for profit companies never do.

Let Amtrak die so that some industrious private company can start their own passenger train service.

2.5 million more bus rides each month.

That derailment probably had more to do with the train going a claimed 106MPH into a turn, twice as fast as its supposed to go, and not due to underlying infrastructure problems.

Trains derail all the time, literally every day. Most of them are at much lower speeds.

Democrats are about big government and small business.

Republicans are about small government and big business.

you can't have small business without big business.

I'm not fond of democrats. There bankrupting my city. The state already said it won't bail us out. I guess it's up to Obama lol. My states bond rating was downgraded. To junk status and that's exactly what happened to Detroit before it declared bankruptcy in 2013. The average debt per citizen of Chicago has surpassed the average debt per citizen of Detroit by a couple grand extra per person. Looks like they will not only be making drastic cuts but also raising the Shit out of taxes. And taxes are already ridiculous. So just know that I hate all you liberal free trade tree hugging faggits

Damn dude. You weren't kidding. Detroit has been run by nothing but liberals. Maybe a sprinkle here or there of conservatives, but not many.

Michigan is a state...... that's about the only good thing I can say about it.

I saw the govt was giving Amtrak grants tonight on the news and wondered why.
Why should the taxpayers be giving a big corporation like Amtrak money at all, much less 253 million a year.
The liberals wanted to give them 2.4 billion a year.
The grant money wouldnt touch safety so it wouldnt matter anyway.

Amtrak also works with the dea to Fuck people over for transporting drugs on there train and large sums of money. They have been In bed with each other for years and get to keep a percentage of all seized money...

It's amazing isn't it? Why do old people vote for them as they are always trying to cut SS and Medicare? Are they fucking nuts? I live off of SS/MC since I fucking payed for it all of my working life. Fuckers, you got that term right.
