Well... I dont know if its dead or not, I will have pictures later...
its now day almost day 4 since I wrote the date down that I first noticed it up and out of the soil. Went well for the first 2 days, watered lightly over the top of the soil twice a day, just flicking water off my fingers because only the top 1/3 inch was dry [bone dry, right below it is was moist though]. Ive been doing that same thing since the time I first planted it because below the top is was always moist. Well yesterday night I looked at my plant and it didnt look healthy... its been getting browner [it was slightly brown on the first 2 leafs even]... so I watered it a lot... my crappy backyard soil sucks though and the soil sticks so much, you pour some water and you can scrape the wet soil right off the dry soil... theres no gradient. Water doesnt go very far down either... so I really had to water to get the bottom wet. 8 hours ago I watered a bit more than usuall too.
So just now I check on it and the plant is bent over. Still "moist" just bent over and looking very brown... I just stuck a toothpick in the soil and got it to stand up leafs facing the lamp and left it alone...
the plants about 1/2" - 2/3" tall, it has its very first 2 leafs about 1/3" long each, and then has 2 other "marijuana looking" leafs above it only a few cm long. the lamp is always kept about 1" from the plant. Im using a 26 watt 1600 lumen cFL, I could use a second if I REALLy wanted to. the light is kept on 24/0. I am using back yard soil, bag seeds, no nutes, day old tap water, and very smooth tin foil in the grow box.
