I think my seedling just died... what do you think?

My seedlings had just popped yesterday and were growing in the windowsill. Yesterday I stuck them under the lights for the first time. About 6" away from 2 CFL 23W. With a four hour dark period from 1-5am. This morning they both have grown a lot but one looks like she didn't make it. What do you think, is there any saving her? It's the one in the front, she's all bent over and her stem is brown but her leaves are still bright green however they seem a little crusty.

The plant grew a lot then keeled over? All in 24 hours? And it has leaves already, or are you talking about the cotyledons?

I think you forgot to put up a pic, but it sounds like damping off if the stem turned brown.

OK I found your duplicate post with a pic. It's not bent over, just has not straightened out yet, they come up stem first, then flip upright. Color not the best but give it some time it's probably fine.
