I Want to Harvest! Advice

Ok so I have two nice looking plants that have been flowering for aoubt 5 weeks or so... (I forgot to write down exactly when I put them in such a stoner thing to do)... the hairs are starting to turn red and I am sooooooo fucking tired of spending money on my meds that I want to harvest one plant kind of early just so I can stop buying herb... what is the earliest I could harvest and it not be a complete waste of time... and when should I stop giving the plants nutes? I am using fox farm tiger bloom... BTW these are great products as my babys are going nuts with the big grow and my plants are looking just fucking great! I will post more pics soon... and one last thing I want to dry and cure this harvest quick so I can start smoking quicker... again it is a cost thing for me... I am tired of spending 500 bucks a month on herb...

in my opinion, harvesting early at all is a waste.. i guess unless u have a huge garden an take a small sample. lets see some pics im curious to how close they are

Since you have waited this long, I believe you should wait it out a few more weeks when the plants are at peak harvest. Sure you could harvest now and probably get high, but it won't even match the high you will get in a few weeks. To know when your plants are at peak harvest, get at least a 30X microscope and take a look at your crystals (trichomes). Check out this link for a cheap ass micropscope at Radio Shack that works great!! RadioShack.com - Cables, Parts & Connectors: Tools & soldering equipment: Magnifiers: Illuminated Microscope
Videoman told me about that one and it was the best $10 I ever spent.
Below is a picture of when you want to harvest. It is a great easy way to see when your plants are ready.



I'm not sure how much you know about growing and am not trying to make you seem like an idiot by giving you a step-by-step guide. I hope this helped you out some and wish you the best in your harvest. Remember no nutes for at least the last 2 weeks before harvest. GOOD LUCK!!!

check them as pauliojr told you to. too early harvest is the real waste of time and resources! and after 5 weeks of flower they can't be done yet, so wait at least another 3 weeks, most indica needs 8 to 10 weeks under HPS to fully flower, outdoors you can add a week ruffly, some sativa strains take up to 14 weeks to get done if grown outdoors! so be patient please, i know it is hard but it is harder then to face the fact that you have fucked it up and all was just for the bin dude;)

I am sorry you feel that my smoking a little over 1/4 ounce of great weed a week is being a fiend! but where I come from pot don't grow on trees... oh wait yes it does... but at 50 bucks an 1/8th I spend about 500 bucks a month on herb... we can thank our government for the high price

Thank you for the great advice from the others....I will wait to harvest... I just want to harvest soooo fucking bad... for other first time growers I am sure you understand!

we've all been there, and we have probobly all learned, that if you jump the gun, you'll ruin what could have been.

I am a newbie grower too so don't feel bad, I bet I go threw double that...so I can feel the pain $$$$$$$$$$ gone bye, bye. It sucks for us we were buying supplies on top of buying weed....UGH, that is when times got tough, but like you I wanted to harvest early I did, & the other guys are right you will be wasting all your efforts.....tough it out.....no one on here has any right to judge another. Midget we have all been newbs at one point some of us has not forgot where she started just 6 months ago..... I am still waiting on the BIG harvest the one that will get us threw until the next one....Good luck with it.....:joint: ​

I swear not to harvest early! I posted some pics of my plants and they did figured out they are now 6 weeks old.... please look at my pics and see how they look... I could use the feedback... thanks again

damn thats some exspensive shit i wouldve robbed that mother fucker for repeatedly robbing you of your cash hash is fuckin cheaper than that.and dude im not REGISTERED patient but that dont mean you dont have a problem that can be easily MEDICATED without involving the fucking government and having to see and get turned down by countless fucking doctors,and then getting slapped with a limit to grow and i high price on absolutely everything at the dispensaries.:cuss:

I totally understand! I'm a first time grower and my beauties are at least a month off harvesting, it's just so tempting but I'm sure we'll reap the rewards if we have a little patience!
