I have just started growing this season and I am loving the whole process!! I am wondering how do I make clones? My plants are fairly close to harvest time.
Your plants look nice but I’d hold off on the harvest — you gotta figure your volume will decrease by about 50 percent when they dry. What looks like a nice fat bud will look disappointing when dry oftentimes. (I’ve learned this firsthand.)
As for taking clones, I have heard it’s tougher if not impossible from a plant in flower. Never tried myself so I don’t know. I make clones in the vegetative stage and try to pick the nicest branches.
Then I stick them in some rooting hormone and into quality potting soil, put them in a greenhouse type environment that can be achieved with a humidity dome. But my wife has used clear plastic cups, so whatever works.
Mist the cuttings but then over the course of a couple weeks let them get accustomed to the air so they send out roots. That’s the tricky part and is more art than science in my experience.
But if you take more cuttings than you need, usually at least some will take. Good luck!
