i just get nervous doing that cuz i never seen it done and im pretty sure i know where to cut but i dont see how the two fan leaves at the nodes turn into new branches

yea man its gravy, you know how 2 sets of leaves grow out of the crothches of branches? its like making those 2 become the main top, and while they are growing the bottom gets a huge boost of bushigrowth

sorry for the jacking but say i fim my plant and i screw it up, the worst that will come of it is a top right?

I topped mine above the second node and only got two tops. The bottom two started to take off just like the top node but after a few weeks its pretty obvious that there only gonna have two main colas.
It dosnt bother me because I got some good clones out of the deal but I'm not really sure why it turned out that way.

From what I understand. The point of topping above the first couple nodes while there young is to get multiple main colas and topping later on in there life just makes for a shorter bushy plant with more bud sites but not necessarily more main colas.
Could be wrong though.
