I Water My Plants...

Outdoor in ground grower. With the full heat of summer I water everyday unless it has rained. I like it when it rains because it saves me time an water (city water) and plants just seem to do better with rain? I have a couple of rain barrels I use to collect rain water and will water with that as long as I have
any on hand. The plot I use has excellent drainage and even after a major storm that dumps a lot of rain on me within 24 hours after the rain the plot is fairly dry. This allows me some leeway in protecting my plants from over watering. I germinate May 1st and put them in the ground later in May after they get big enough. I supplemental feed with either basic vegetable or bloom nutes every 7 - 10 days. I feed them full strength but being in the ground I’m pretty sure it gets diluted (I’ll feed all of my outside flowers an plants at the same time). I also don’t worry if I skip a feed. My soil is good and teaming with life. I just supplemental feed to give them a little extra boost.
