So I was thinking its possible to cool your grow room with out AC and without a chiller on an icebox.
Here is what I plan to do:
Going to run (3) 600W HPS in line with one 8" Icebox
instead of using a chiller which I don't have the cash for I am going to substitute my chiller for a 40-50 gal food grade barrel and cool the water with medical grade ice packs 180 packs at a time.
I will have back up with another 180 ice packs sitting in a freezer.
It will be a manual process but one I am quite confident will lower the water temps to 50-60 degrees even with the icebox pushing old warm water back into the barrel...
The pump will be at the bottom along with the packs so the water at the bottom of the barrel will be super cold close to 40-50 degrees while the water at the top of the barrel where the return will dump warmer water
What are your thoughts?
