humidity is not that big of a concern imo but evrything i have read says 50 - 80 % rh in veg lower than 30 % in flower . mine stays between 25 and 60 % i prefer less then 30% the whole grow so i dont have to worry about mildew/mold too much moisture problems the plant might require more waterings but that is easy to deal with unlike mold , etc plus during flower the lower humidity causes the plant to keep coating itself in sticky resin (trichromes)

I keep it around 40-60............too low and it helps out the bugs, too high and it helps out the molds, plus slows transpiration hence growth......so try for a happy medium. Our climate is very dry, so I use a swamp cooler in the summer and just take what I have in the winter when temps are lower.....with all the rezs, wet cubes and flood/drain it'll hold around 40% in the winter and 50% in the summer...compared with 30% or less outside.......
In an extreme case of mite infestation, I drive it up to 75% for a few days and lower the temps....but more than a few days invites rot and I end up having to bleach the walls after the treatment. It helps slow down the reproductive cycle until I get them back under control.....
I think 22% is a little too low, but not in and of itself unhealthy.........you can mist the area to help or add a humidifier.....

I aim for 50+ in veg and then gradually from 50 to the 30s as flowering progresses. It's at the end that it's most important, drier is better.

I've heard that 20% humidity during veg will keep it from opening up the stem hole (the stepoule, or whatever it's called) the right way... Is this true?
