Ideas for my LED ebb & flow setup?

Mylar, timing. I plan to circulate air through holes in the ceiling with a filter box in the attic for a thermostat vortex fan with activated charcoal filter pads although the direction I'm as of yet. One way would be to have the warm grow room air be blown down from two holes in the closet ceiling through two holes in the closet doors and then through two holes in the bedroom ceiling. Another way would be to have the filter box blowing fresh air through the bedroom and then up from two holes in the closet doors through two holes in the ceiling exhausting the warm air directly into the attic. Advice pointers tips are appreciated thank you.

Is this for cloning or you planning on running tiny sea of green? It’s a normal flood and drain on small scale. Flood and drain works great

Tiny sea of green. I have EZ-Clone sprayers that I can use to create a cloner with similar parts. I have a reservoir heater and may need a chiller.

In flood and drain the res temp doesn’t matter really so you won’t need to chill it or heat it unless it’s super cold. I would also paint the clear tub so no light gets to the roots just to be safe. It should work fine. You can run it without filling the tub with rock and just let it be the root chamber but it Will require more water to fill it to the needed height until the roots get established. I see no reason it won’t work. Good luck with it

Reservoir temps ALWAYS matter! ALWAYS!!!!

I may have glued the pump shut when attaching the outlet tubing. Will have to get that settled or get a replacement pump it looks like. There is one more of the same pumps here. I also thought about testing one tub compared with two (bins) for the reservoir thickness, safety. Thank you for the information about the clear tub and light. I plan to wrap around them both with bubble wrap then aluminum foil, or the reflective bubble wrap available and foil tape to keep light out and temperature down.

I don't know if it is a good idea to insulate the reservoir from the floor or not since the floor is usually cooler. The sides and top yes both will be covered. What I initially thought about doing was having some water remaining in the top at all times. There are these stackable fittings to adjust the water level, same for flood and drain, that I did not have enough of so I went with none for the fill and two for the drain. If I end up making a trip the the grow shop I may get more of those along with another different style of pump with an easier to use or more secure 1/2" outlet and use one for the fill and two or three for the drain, raising the water level in the tray near maximum if possible.

Fixed the glue situation. There was a film or membrane which almost looked like a bubble where the outlet for the pump has a reduced diameter. I applied less glue more around the perimeter of the tubing/pump connection and less inside the tubing than last time. Electrical taped again to hold it together. I will probably tape it again before testing it today.

The dimensions for the coco coir mat inside the tub are 19 1/4" by 13 1/2". Five can be made going in one direction with the 8' mat and three in the other direction with another half width strip available two and a half total if joined together with a seam in the middle. I wish to utilize the available space with one plant per some area with even coverage for example one plant per square foot of growing (light) area or 0.25 sq. ft. per plant. So that there is no whitespace if this was all say a bunch of computer code given to an, interpreter or, compiler. Even to the point of leaf saturation you might say, where if pathogen control is good and so is airflow then maybe the plants could overlap somewhat and still do well with enough light. A solid canopy like a mat but not overdone where there could be a lot of time wasted in vegetative growth that just ends up pruned away or shaded to utilize more of the available light.
