Identified two plants, male and female. How do I pollinate?

When the time comes I'd like to breed these two plants. I got a male and female.

They're only 24 days old, whens the right time to pollinate and can it be as easy as just rubbing the males pollen on her pistils?

Help!

Seriously y'all I don't need some complex answer, whats hands down the simplest way to get seeds from my girl, and will pollinating effect the quality of her flower (in regards to smoking)?

Nah,,,once the male starts shedding pollen...it;ll travel through the air. But like when I'm doing an entire room...done once or twice...I just pick up the male and knock it around a bit.

But if you only want a few seeds...keep the male separate...once it starts shedding pollen...collect some...turn off fans and use a paint brush...paint some on the buds. If you have a male...you probably couldn't stop pollination if you tried.

Great! is this going to effect flower size, yeild, quality, etc?

Ya...me too. Heavily seeded buds will lose yield obviously...but if you just pollinate a single lower branch...no effect at all. I'm an old guy and most of the great sativas we got in the 60s...was seeded.

ok thanks man! so what I'm going to do is isolate my male and then just get a little pollen on a brush and only seed one of the pistils. Should I do this prematurely or just when it starts to flower? Or just as soon as pollen is being produced?

There ya go...xtsho posted a good link. The males mature faster then the females...so you may have to sit on the male a bit...waiting till you have a bud that's developed enough. I always wait...seems to me it's not such a good idea to pollinate a super young bud with just a few pistils. Post a bud shot and someone will tell you when you can do it.

Its like, you dont want to knock up a little kid (hopefully) you want girls to mature first

Yes you can. I do multiple buds with different fem pollen.

I use the little plastic things that hold your bread bags sealed. Put the name of the pollen on the tag. That way you know what pollen is on which buds.

I have 2 epic males and 5 females, think I'm going to kill the males and feminize.... I have exra reg beans to fall back on if necessary but I'm doing alot of genetic selection and some reveges for similar breeding so it's going to be a party :)
