if my weed smells like hay during 2weeks into cure is it finished

I can't answer definitively, but a lot of it is genetic. I have one grow under my belt and 3 out of 4 from my first grow were hay-smelling after dry/cure and 1 was dank through the entire process. I am certain I could have done better with the other 3, but the difference was very apparent

Their is no reason to trash it because of hay smell. It will still get you high if you smoke or cook with it.

I wouldnt toss it unless it's a total chore to smoke and then like boatguy said you can cook with it

Yeah don’t toss over hay smell. You probably won’t recover a good smell until it’s broke up some but I would make lots of canna butter with it or hash. Many good uses for it but not the trash can.
