What's good!
New to RIU and first time indoor grower in eastern US.
I ordered 10x gorilla glue auto fem seeds from ILGM and was feeling kinda sketchy about it, first time ordering seeds from a bank, and also some negative reviews.
As far as shipping, no problem. Tracking was good, delivery was quick. After initially putting in my order, nothing from that point on referenced ILGM, cannabis, or anything else that could be incriminating. Couldn't be happier.
Now then, down to business. I used the paper towel trick for germination, and contrary to what some reviews had said, ALL 10 GERMINATED!! Needless to say, I was thrilled.
Current setup is 4x8 tent, 2 600w leds with veg and bloom spectrums, 8 in fan with carbon filter, and 5 gal buckets. The buckets all have about 4 gal of soil.
My soil mix consists of peat, composted cow manure, perlite, worm castings, and vermiculite. Not sure on the ratios, but I have it written in my notebook. Will update later.
I am watering with distilled water only for now. My pH started around 6.5 or so, but over a few days it has shifted more toward 7. I will have a remedy for that very soon.
Currently, I have 10 happy little seedlings with their first jaggys. Lights are around 24" above them to keep from frying the little fellas. Have been watering every other day, and misting daily just to keep the top layer of soil from drying too much. After about another week I'll give them their first dose of 18-18-20. Not going to use much in the beginning, just to see how they take to it. Last thing I want is nutrient burn.
Will add pics and continue to update as time goes by. Feel free to comment on this one, this is my first indoor grow and definitely the largest scale of grow that I've tried so far, so I'm all ears to any advice.
