I'll show you mine if you show me yours....

This is my first educated grow (previous was a series of expieriments) and I want to see if Im on the right track. I mean, everything that Ive read, or pictures of other plants compared to mine, makes me comfortable with my progress but aside from them, I cant be too sure. As of right now, I am 18 days into flowering. I am using a 1000 watt hps (155,000 lumens!!!) and a 400 watt MH. My growrom isnt very tall so I am using the MH to supplement light where the HPS cant reach; the plants seem to dig the multi-spectrum. With the few fans Ive got going continuously, coupled with the intake and exhaust, my temp/humidity stay at around 77 degrees and 45% humidity during the day and at night it drops to around 60 degrees ( I live in alaska). In the last couple of weeks I will add a large fan to circulate the air a little more and in turn lower the humidity to around 30% humidity to prevent bud mold and give the trichs a better atmosphere to develop in. Im using Advanced Nutrients and am STOKED (to say the least) on their preformance. Let me know what you think, and if you could, post some pictures of your ladies at or around the same stage of development as mine so we can compare. Thanks:leaf:

This strain has been renamed so many times I have no clue what her actual name is. The guy I got my clones from called it DI50 after Diana's $50 bags!!! haha
By the looks of it I would surmize that its an idica dominant strain:leaf:

So I was begining to think that I was overwatering my ladies; no signs of stress or stunted growth, I just read somewhere that you should water every other day instead of everyday (like I was doing). after the first day with no water the sativas leaves started drooping, really bad. Not only did the leaves droop but because of the lack of moisture in the soil my temp rose a good 8 degrees. I thought that they were dead for sure or hurt pretty significantly. I want to say that just over an hour after I watered them the leaves perked right up and reached for the light! One thing that I've learned is that if something is working for you, don't stop doing it because someone says their way is better. my girls are at 21 days in flower and I couldn't be happier!

your plants are looking great!
Here are mine day 16 of flowering. (my first grow)
smallest is a runt at 20 inches and the rest go up from there to a little over 3 feet.

Those look great man! Are you using any nutrients? I found that the best nutrients have got to be the Advanced Nutrients line up. They are a little spendy initially but pretty much pay for themselves in the amount of extra weight they put on.
My plants have fully recovered from the whole watering dilema, thank you for asking. The few sativas that I have in the room are just super senstive to any change; like if I put a 1/2 tsp too much fert in their water, the fan leave tips point down at the ground for a day like their pissed at me for me making them eat their vegtables or something.
Something that Ive been noticing a lot lately is how much light each bud actually recieves. The top part of the buds receive mainly light from the hps but the underside gets hit with light from the MH. The multi-spectrum is proving most benificial! If I had to alter anything with my set-up I would factor in the use of Co2 but with me being a novice I would hate to try and destroy everything, or worse, get sick from the fumes.

Yeah i'm using a lot of nutes and additives and yes it's all expensive but i'm growing for me so I want the best I can get. I'm worth it hehe.
In vegging I used Summum (local hydro shop brand) Growth 1+2. 1 = 3-0-4 and 2 = 1-3-5.
I also add a B-1 tonic. I use Bushdoctor kangaroots early on, on the seedlings and then when I transferred from the veg cab to the flowering cab.
Flowering = again Summum, bloom 1=2 4-0-4 & 1-4-4.
I also add Summum super boost, bud candy, shooting powder and just today I was convinced to get gravity flower hardener.
I made a few bottles of diy co2 using drink bottles from the dollar store and some brewing co2 water diffusers (using the yeast and sugar recipe).
Don't know if they add much but any is better than none :) Maybe i'll look into the tank and timer and all one day..
I find that with the mylar on all surfaces the light gets pretty much everywhere but true enough the denser areas under the canopy is getting less.
From what I read here and around the spectrum of metal halide is most helpful in vegetative growth but that does continue to occur in flowering and stronger stems means more weight carrying ability and larger healthier fan leaves mean more light absorption.

I wanted to post a video of my growrrom to provide more visuals. Im loving this expieriance! And now because of RIU I have people who share my enthusiasum!!!!
