how long does it take to grow a plant and it to be finished to harvest ?

from seed 6-8 weeks in veg state minimum and about 8- 14 weeks in flower depending on strain .to dry you need a couple of days for small buds and up to 3 weeks for large buds , and then the curing time - the longer the better. hope that helps.

I thought you only needed 2 to 3 weeks for flowering for indica strains? Please correct me if I am wrong?

Minimum flowering time, in my experience, is 8 weeks for an indica. I've heard of some finishing earlier but those are very rare phenos. These probably have been reported from people who have chopped too early IMO. Sativas take anywhere from 8-14 weeks, typically.
