Hi, i have a couple of grows under my belt now using 27ltr bubble buckets and im really happy with the results so far regarding yeild. The thing is though i really fancy a go at organic growing. I was thinking maybe of converting my bubble buckets into 27ltr plant pots:)

I know this is a hard question to answer but is there an approx percent ill lose yeild wise if i switched over? I currently have a veg cab and a flower cab and veg my ladies 8-10 weeks from seed, if i used soil i could veg them approx 10-12 weeks or as long as it took a batch to flower.

Also what am i best doing, i can either get something called Plagron Light Mix for when there younger and then switch to Plagron Batmix for when there older and use something like bio bizz to feed them or i could make a tea feed im not sure whats better?

I am hoping if i can get to veg them for long enough i wont lose that much yeild wise. I dont like to grow 24/7 so i do have to factor yeild into the equation but i dont mind losing a bit of the quality is better. I havent got the first clue though of how much less ill get.

You will suffer yield loss for sure, growing hydroponically for 7 years now i always got a plant or 2 in coco or soil, just a extra clone or seed i got. And always seem to yield less not by much but the difference is there A bunch of people on here will also tell you that the taste and smell will be better, Ive never really noticed a big difference in a side by side comparison. Maybe those people that claim that just don't know how to grow hydro ;) IMO <---- for the sensitive ones

If your gonna go soil look up subcools supersoil. It will eliminated a lot of the work you'll have to do.

Thanks, i have been looking at super soil. This Plagron mix i have available has enough fert in it to last 3-4 weeks and i suppose then you top it up with your own or a brand.

Il be honest i like the sound of organic because for one its natural, two, its less hassle as i have buckets that need changing all the time and ph and ec to constantly adjust etc. Im using LED lights so i also like the idea of everything being as enviromentally friendly as possible. The fact i have a seperate veg cab means i can veg the ladies a good while before putting them into flower.

For me the deciding factor will have to be yeild, i mean if its like a 15-20% loss i can deal with that but if im losing 30%+ it starts to become a problem as id have to grow more and dont have the time.

Ive been doing a bit of research and there is lots of ways of doing it, someone suggest soil, worm castings and coco and a bit of perlite?

Plus i want to go totally organic, what i may do is do a test grow of just 1 plant in a mix of my own in a 30ltr pot. Ill see if some more experienced people can chime in with some advice.

The more i read about organics the more im interested in it. I just like the whole idea behind it and if the quaslity is better im all for it:)
