Hey All, Coming back from a 3 year break...want to start back up with building a stealth armoire grow cabinet, so i could have something without anyone knowing about it. Here's what I have so far:
Armoire - Stripped it out - Grow space is 38 inches tall, 20 deep, and 40 inches wide. (18 cubic feet of grow space...the height is measure from the top of a pots as they will be sitting in a hold that is cut out of the middle shelf of the armoire) I could remove it and use the full space but then it would be very unstable and i would have to reinforce the cabinet with some 1x2's) so i opted to just cut out a hole big enough for my 5 gallon pots weatherstrip the hold and drop the whole pot inside the hold which I believe will be light proof)
switchable ballast 400 watt metal halide - 400 watt HPS cool tube
6 inch vortex fan - 440 cfm
6 inch dayton blower - 495 cfm
4 inch dayton blower - 131 cfm
phresh filter 4x12 inch (max 200 cfm)
passive intake
with the space I have, i'm limited with what i can do with the fans and still have them be concealed.
I'm trying to decide what might be the best way to vent, cool, and odor control with what i have and the space is the biggest issue.
I was thinking about building a box around the fans to silence them, or if i had them inside the cab(takes up too much space) it would be quite already.
I'm going to bounce my idea off you guys before i start drilling and cutting out the armoire.
the exaust will be the 4 inch 131 cfm...wont need to carbon scrub till later in flowering, but i would then connect the phresh filter to the dayton blower.(with the filter attached will my cfm be enough to pull air in through the passive intakes) I was planning on having (2) 4 pvc inch passive intakes from the bottom of the cab, just not sure if the filter will restrict so much air that i wouldnt get enough circulation.
i was thinking about using either the dayton or vortex on a speed control to cool the cool tubes. These would be vented from the top of the cab. I'll post some pictures as soon as i start cutting out.
Thanks for your help guys.
