I'm buying a new tent and some gear. Need some cents!

I am getting ready to make a fairly big purchase. Tent, carbon filter w/fan, and a new 600 watt light.

I already have one complete 600watt grow light, the easy cool 6 with stock ballast and bulb.

I'll be putting 2 600watt lights in this tent so....I need one more 600. Ive decided on the magnum xxxl reflector.

I want some advice on what 600watt ballast and bulb to buy. Also what carbon filter and fan combo for this tent.

I have done my research so I'm just looking for some advise on......
-600watt ballast
-600watt hps bulb
-carbon filter and fan combo

Lumatek digital ballast.

Hortilux bulb.

Big boy...or maybe its called the bad boy fan/filter combo from htgsupply.

for $700 you should have no problems at all. im slowly building a similar setup. I have priced out 2 1000w badass ballasts that includes a red diamond 140k lumen bulb. all made by advanced nutes. i also priced out the magnum xxxl hoods(2 of them) and a bigger tent that gonna cost $260. I priced it all out at just under $1400 and im buying 1000s which cost a lot more.

top quality 600w ballast about $175 for lumatek or you can get a quantum for about $20 less.

bulb roughly $80 if you go with the hortilux

that puts you at about $445....

that leaves you roughly $265 left on a fan and filter. but are you putting the can inside the tent or outside the tent? are you scrubbing the whole room or just the tent in the room. that makes a big difference of how much air you have to scrub.

You're venting 208 cubic feet of space with a filter inline, so you probably need to look at at least a 600CFM fan up to 1000CFM+. Then find the matching filter by CFM rating, I like Phresh filters personally...

You might be right, but I'm willing to try that tent. But now that I'm thinking about it, the xxxl might be to much for a 600watt bulb.

Still looking for some more input though. Ordering tomorrow.

Yeah, I'd only use a xxxl with a 1000w.
