I don't know why it's taking so long, but she's doing well. If this was a girl, I'd ask her out.

Mephisto Genetics 24 Carat. Took a couple samples and will put them under the microscope tonight.

Photoed them using my el cheapo digital handheld microscope. I see no amber at all and very little clouding.

It's more a whole plant thing....all white pistils will have turned dark and curled in, plant will slow way down on water consumption, leaves will show signs of senescence, and trichs will be all cloudy with whatever % amber you prefer. Next time include a pic of entire plant.
That said...it looks like you're in the harvest window from what you've shown.

Here's the whole plant taken yesterday.

Looks to be on the early side of harvest window. I would go another week or so...I don't see any amber either....but up to you now.

Cut a sample, quick dry and try it for high. In a few instances I've had plants that stayed clear. Many of the Mexican sativas do that. The white I'm seeing look like stress pistils. Anyway I'd test for the high on that bud, nicely done.

I have a 20-40x microscope and a digital handheld microscope camera. I snip off small samples several times weekly. I'm only just beginning to see a few clouds ones. But no amber.

That's my point it may not go amber at all. The next sample you snip dry it and smoke it. Test the high. When you dial in the high that's when you chop regardless of trichomes. A very few strains stay clear through harvest. I love those.

PS really nice AMScope, I liked those.

The clear trichomes always make the nicest colored extracts . A lot of people I know , chop their fields early to get the light gold honey color from their rosin .
